Katherine Parr (also spelled Catherine) was the sixth and last wife of King Henry VIII. She outlived him, just about, but died shortly after giving birth to a baby girl by her fourth husband, Thomas Seymour.

This image is based on the Hastings portrait of Catherine, which used to be identified as a portrait of Lady Jane Grey.
